They offer a time and space for you to find some clarity of thought, may encourage better rest, strength and improved breathing. Through regular practice, it can empower you to adapt to change, to face fears, to support you as you age or help you recover from the effects of stress and depression. You may find support from yoga philosophy to help you navigate your relationship with the world and others.

The group classes will work with different themes and ideas such as: practices to energise, practices to reduce stress, back strengthening practices, practices to strengthen the core; and so over time students develop a thorough knowledge of the principles of this way of working. Some classes may be more strengthening, some more calming, and in some we may introduce sound and references to yoga philosophy. Generally people find the classes restful, restorative and enjoyable. Over time, many have reported increased breath and body awareness and sensitivity, increased strength and flexibility.
Amanda provides a friendly, calm, caring, safe and fun loving atmosphere in which to learn about and experience yoga in a group setting. To help you have a safe and satisfying experience, helpful adaptations will be suggested. In other words adapting the yoga to fit the person not the person to fit the yoga! However, in a group class it is not always possible to meet individual needs in great detail. So if you do have particular interests, needs or concerns, it may be appropriate to arrange an individual lesson or lessons. It is also important to let us know if you are pregnant as it may not be appropriate for you to be in a general yoga class.
Please do contact Amanda for further details on any of the classes. |

'I just wanted to say that since starting your classes I have found a new motivation to make time for myself and the ability to just enjoy the silence sometimes. It has been just the tonic I need and my posture is so much better now I’m thinking about how I move. So thanks again, I’m looking forward to the new course' ~ Sarah
'Yoga has been important to me for a long time - & lately I sense maybe my awareness is deepening a little.... Certainly I love your classes and each time come away consciously enriched by the experience of yoga with you and the group' ~ Polly |
