Pregnancy Yoga

Being pregnant can be both wonderful and challenging. Yoga can help you
have a happier, healthier pregnancy and birth. It is a wonderful
preparation for birth and parenting. The gentle movements and connection
with your breath helps to increase your sense of wellbeing during
pregnancy. The benefits will also help you to form a harmonious bridge
of contact with your baby.
It is usually possible to attend regular classes through pregnancy at the teacher's discretion. Group classes are ideal from around 15 weeks right through to delivery. However, it is not advisable to do strong stretching or very heating type of practice during pregnancy. We also offer individual sessions where we can design a tailor-made programme to meet your particular needs. This suits some women better, particularly in early pregnancy, or when they do not have a regular schedule, or the class times are not suitable.
We will keep up to date with your evolving progress as baby grows. Also, we will make helpful modifications and suggest an alternative choice if something is not going to be helpful for you and baby.

Student Testimonials
'Just to let you know - I had a really rubbish nights sleep last night and was very stiff, aching and grumpy this morning. I unrolled the mat, did a short practice, felt 100% better so crawled into bed and slept for nearly 2 hours!!! Yay!' ~ Sarah (during latter pregnancy)
'Labour was fairly quick in fact they didn't believe I was even in established labour and I was already 5cm dilated without pain relief. Baby Annabelle arrived via natural birth an hour and 10 minutes after at 6lb 15oz.' ~ Stacy 'Little chap decided to come early so went into labour last Wednesday at 06:00 and had him by emergency caesarian at 21:00, so guess a little while before I can tackle some postures!! Thanks again for all the breathing techniques you taught, I managed to get to 4cm without any pain relief as I found that focusing on my breathing really helped calm things down and allowed me to cope'. ~ Sarah M |
